Film Club
Since the closure of the Gaumont Cinema - one of the oldest cinema's in Britain and the oldest cinema in Little Middleton - the Community Hall has been THE place to see the latest films in Little Middleton.
It may take a while for us to get them, normally when they come out on DVD, but we still get them and bring them to the village for our monthly film screenings, which are normally held on the third Wednesday every month, apart from when the Little Middelton Amateur Dramatics Society or Parish Council are using the hall, in which case a different date will be arranged or film club will be moved to nearby premises including The Dog and Duck or Jean Shrimpton's cottage.
As well as popular Hollywood blockbusters we also show classic movies, independent films, and following the success of our box set screening of the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy, some foreign language movies (although not that many as some people don't tend to like the subtitles and others complain that people talk over the film, even though they can't understand it anyway).
The films for each month’s screenings are posted on the Community Hall Noticeboard on the 1st of the month, every month.
Please note: Ice creams and popcorn are unfortunately no longer permitted following a dispute with the local cleaners.
